Hey, Erin here. A few months ago it was Sophie’s birthday and I decided to make her a little batch of the skin serum and balm I’ve been making and using for myself for the last few years. Some friends were there and they all said THEY wanted some too, and encouraged me to make more. Being around the time of opening the shop, Soph suggested I make a batch to sell in the shop. And so here we are. My little offering to the people of Yass! All natural botanical skincare, using certified organic ingredients and local beeswax.
The serum is jojoba oil infused with calming lavender, chamomile, calendula and plantain with added frankincense (great for ageing skin) and evening primrose oil. It smells amazing and is light on your skin. Jojoba oil closely resembles the skin’s natural moisturising oil, sebum. It’s antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and non-comedogenic properties make it a great option for oily, acne-prone skin. I use it morning and night instead of a moisturiser and find it’s all I need.
The “everything balm” is good for… pretty much everything! I use it for healing and calming irritated skin, on dry lips, hands and body, minor stings, cuts, and it’s also really good as a nipple balm for breastfeeding mothers. It’s made using all certified organic ingredients - olive oil infused with lavender, chamomile, calendula and plantain; then blended with local beeswax to make a balm.
